Westlake Bands News

The Westlake Band Booster Association (WBBA) as of December 9th, 2009 has officially been organized. The officers are as follows:
President- Robert DeKorver
Vice President- Pam Faddis
Secretary- Shirley Webb
Executive Fundraising- Laura O'Conner
Treasurer- David Funk

Committee Chair Heads will be announced soon. Thank you for your willingness to serve.

Announcements

Solo and Ensemble Festival Solo Assignment
All band students need to be purchasing and preparing a solo for the upcoming Solo and Ensemble Festival in February. This solo should be of a classical genre and should be an appropriate level of difficulty for their ability. Mr. Mangelson will approve solo beforehand. Happy Practicing and Good Luck!

BYU Synthesis, Combined Lehi/Westlake Jazz Concert January 27th. NEXT WEEK!! Get your tickets ASAP for this great event! See a jazz band student for tickets or buy in the financial office.

Pep Band for home basketball games is in full swing. Please check the calendar and make arrangements to be at those crucial games. Every student needs to play in at least 3 games as part of his/her grade. Extra credit will be awarded to those who play in additional games.

Auditions for next years band will take place the last week of January, the 26th-30th. All students who wish to play in a band next year must audition with Mr. Mangelson. Please contact him for a time slot.
