Rose Parade photos and videos
Rose Parade photos and videos have been distributed to the Middle Schools and to the band room at Westlake to be handed out by band directors so you should be seeing them coming home. Photos were labeled via information available in charms and we have discovered that some of the grade levels were in the system wrong or were missing. We are working on making sure that some of the mislabeled students get where they need to go. Also, if your student is in Color Guard and therefore does not have a band class, have them check in with the Band director at their school. Color Guard students who did not list a grade level in Charms were filed with Westlake, so if your Middle School does not have your set, check in the Band room at Westlake as well. Give it a week, and if your student has not brought home their photos and video, let us know and we will get it figured out. We should have everyone taken care of by then.
Booster Meeting THURSDAY March 8, 7:30 pm
Please make note that our Booster Meeting has been changed to THURSDAY March 8 at 7:30 pm in the band room. At this meeting we will be adjusting bylaws for the coming year and fill vacancies in the Booster organization. We are “graduating” a LOT of parents, so we need YOUR help! Please plan to attend Thursday March 8 at 7:30 pm. (As a note, Mr. Mangelson will be unable to attend due to a previously scheduled event, but most of our business will point towards the coming season and Mr. Brady will Skype in from Idaho for this meeting.) We look forward to seeing you all there!
Congratulations Winterguard teams!
We wanted to say congratulations to our Winterguard teams for fantastic performances at competition this weekend. All three teams placed! Jr A and A Guards took 3rd place and Open Guard took 2nd Place. All teams also were given their highest scores of the season. Congratulations everyone!
Winter Guard Competition Help
Our winter guard program is hosting a competition at Westlake High School on March 17. This is a large event that requires a lot of volunteers to keep it running smoothly. We still have many volunteer spots to be filled. Thank you to those who have already signed up to help.
Setup begins on Friday, March 16, and time slots are available for a variety of needs all day on Saturday, March 17. Please take a look at the signup and see where you can help!

“Getting to know you” phone calls
Mr Brady would like to start getting to know the students who are enrolled in Band next year—a difficult task when he lives in another State. He is going to begin making personal phone calls to those who are signed up for classes. Parents who prefer he NOT contact your student directly, please email Charlotte Ducos at cdducos@gmail.com and we will pass that list to Mr. Brady. Thank You!
